SAFOS is a non-profit making society of individual and affiliated Southern African and international researchers engaged in work on any aspects of folklore. Fees are due on the 1st of March each year.

An annual membership fee of R100-00 is payable by individuals resident in the SADC Region. Membership to individuals from all other countries shall be US$ 45-00
